THERMODYNAMIC


 OPEN SYSTEM : A system which can exchange matter and energy with the surrounding is called an open system.

Example    air compresser .
Air at low pressure enter and high pressure to leave.

CLOSE SYSTEM:   A System which can exchange only energy (not matter) with the surrounding is called close system.

Example    gas enclosed a cylinder when heated and drives system outward .


ISOLATED SYSTEM  

 A system which is thermally insulated and has no transfer heat with the surrounding is called isolated system.
